Ever wonder how certain animals survive in their unique habitats? This November, join the Children’s Museum of Discovery for our Fall Camp: Animal Superheroes, where campers will discover the amazing adaptations that help animals thrive in the deepest oceans, the hottest deserts, and beyond!

NOVEMBER 24

Hide and Seek

Learn all about camouflage and how animals use this ability to protect themselves, hide from predators, and survive!

NOVEMBER 25

Hot and Cold

Discover how animals keep themselves warm or cool in their unique habitats. We will explore animals from the desert to the Arctic and everything in between.

NOVEMBER 26

Underwater

Grab your scuba gear and dive into the deep blue sea while we explore animals in the ocean. Swimming, catching food, and surviving in the dark are just a few adaptations we will explore.

CAMP ITINERARY

  • 9:00-9:15 Drop-off

  • 9:15-9:30 Welcome to Camp

  • 9:40-10:10 Museum Exploration*

  • 10:20-10:35 Snack Time**

  • 10:35-10:50 Storytime

  • 10:50-11:20 Hands-on Science/Engineering Activity

  • 11:20-11:50 Lunch Time**

  • 11:50-12:20 Art Activity

  • 12:20-12:45 Teamwork Time

  • 12:50-1:30 Museum Exploration*

  • 1:30-1:40 Closing Circle

  • 1:40-2:00 Closing Storytime + Pick-Up

*Campers will enjoy indoor and outdoor museum exploration each day
**Campers are required to bring their own (peanut-free) snacks and lunches. Snacks and lunches will be eaten in the Indoor Classroom.
