If you are hosting your event in a public space, such as a park, you will need a permit to have the Mobile Children’s Museum. Please contact your local city recreation department for more information. The Children’s Museum of Discovery is not responsible for obtaining permits.
An additional hour before and after the event is required for staff to set up and break down exhibits.

Yes, the Wind Tunnel exhibit requires access to electricity within 15 feet of the setup location. If electricity cannot be provided, the Wind Tunnel exhibit will be substituted with another available exhibit.

The Mobile Children’s Museum is not intended for assemblies but can support individual grade levels and classes! Visit our Mobile School Visits page to learn more.

We recommend booking the community event package and purchasing additional guests ($75). Birthday packages are structured to run so all kiddos can play at the same time. With additional guests, additional time is required and the experience becomes free flow to accommodate everyone.
If more kids participate on the day of the event than what you purchased, you will be charged $75 for every additional 20 kids. Due to scheduling, we will not be able to increase the party time on the day of the event.
No. For scheduling and planning purposes, we are not able to offer refunds if fewer kids participate than planned.
To help keep our mobile exhibits clean and in the best possible condition for all families, food and drinks are not permitted near the exhibits. We appreciate your understanding as this allows us to provide a safe, high-quality play experience for everyone.​
Parties and events must be paid in full once the inquiry has been approved by our team.​

Any cancellations made up to 14 days in advance of your event will be entitled to a full refund. Any cancellations made 10 – 13 days in advance of your event will be entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations made after these time periods are not eligible for a refund.​

Please note: All cancellations, regardless of timing, will result in a $25 processing fee.
