Volunteering at the Children’s Museum of Discovery is a great way to get involved and give back to your community. Your time and dedication open the doors to discovery, curiosity, and imagination for countless children and families.

Who can be a volunteer?

  • You must be 14 years of age or older

  • You should be friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with people

  • You should have a desire to serve your community

What qualifications must I posses?

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Flexibility in a variety of settings

  • Understanding and desire to support the Museum’s mission and vision

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with people of all ages, backgrounds, and opinions

  • Well-prepared, dependable, and punctual

When can I volunteer?

  • Volunteer opportunities are available daily. Times and shifts vary.

Current Volunteer Needs:

  • Museum activator

  • Museum Play Guide (minimum 14 years old with additional requirements)

What do volunteers do?

Volunteers work in almost every area of the Museum. Some volunteers help build our exhibits, while others assist with general operations or events.
