STREAM Activity: Yarn Pumpkin

Pumpkin Wrap Party!

Activity best for children ages three and up

Fall is here, and it’s the perfect season for cozy, hands-on crafts. Want to make your very own pumpkin? With some yarn, cardboard, and a little imagination, kids can wrap and twist to create their one-of-a-kind pumpkin. This craft is more than just fun, it helps build fine motor skills, the small hand movements we use for activities such as writing, eating, and cutting. As kids focus on wrapping the yarn, they’re practicing coordination and control. So grab some yarn and let’s get rolling!
